If you are considering a blimpcam (low level) aerial, imagine the camera at treetop level and higher. Now, walking around your listing, what will you be able to see? Will the leaves on the trees block the home? If so, perhaps it should be shot during the winter months. Is there something near the home which you want in the shot to show it's proximity (i.e. water)?
Remember, the blimp is tethered. Is there a clear area on the property or nearby to allow me to launch and get a nice angle on the property? Can I get out on the dock and shoot back towards the home? Notice the sun angle. The blimpcam allows me to shoot at different and unique lighting periods. Some of my favorite shots are during the early morning hours or late evening. Take the time to visit the property at these hours and see where the light falls. Also remember that the sun angle varies with the seasons. During the winter the sun is much further on the southern side of a north/south facing home during all periods of the day.
Are there imperfections on the property that will detract from an aerial shot? If they are temporary (brown spots on the lawn, new shake shingles that haven't weathered in yet), I can adjust them in photoshop.
Don't worry about asking me to make a pre-site visit for those more unique situations. I will charge only for the extra mileage later when doing the shoot. If I tell you that it isn't worth your money, or it isn't possible to shoot it from the blimpcam, I will only charge mileage and a $50 fee. Most times, I can view the property online and give you a good idea of the feasablility of using the blimpcam. |
